Hello, my name is Alison

*PLEASE NOTE: Alison is currently not available for new clients.

I work with with children, adolescents, adults and the aged population who are wanting to understand themselves better and to take a new step forward into a more satisfying life. Many of my client are experiencing a wide range of issues such as depression, anxiety, relational difficulties, a life crisis, and other kinds of emotional difficulties.

I build warm therapeutic relationships with my clients and use CBT, schema, and mindfulness based strategies to empower and facilitate personal and professional change. I work with my clients to achieve their goals using psychodynamic and interpersonal strategies and focus on enabling them to take the pathway that they choose for increased wellbeing and happiness.

I see clients who have anxiety, depression, need support managing their stress, relationship issues, family difficulties, work place problems such as bullying, conflict with a colleague or boss, and work stress. Also parenting issues, living with someone with mental illness, trauma, grief and loss. But whatever your issue we will work together and find a path forward for you.

I have over 20 years of experience and have worked with communities on Manus Island and New Guinea. I love writing and have recently written a number of articles focusing on helping clients get through the COVID lockdowns.
