Hello, my name is Dr Marc Jurblum,

I am a child and adolescent psychiatrist, primarily working with 15-25 year olds individually and parents of children of all ages. My practice focuses on addressing psychological difficulties that hinder young people from reaching their full potential, including anxiety, depression, relational challenges, and past trauma. These issues can often manifest as emotional distress, difficulty with school and university performance or challenges in relationships with others. I also conduct assessments for Autism and support clients in navigating the complexities of neurodiversity and work with families to understand relationships and conflict.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in psychodynamic and dyadic talk therapy. Through longer-term work, I aim to help individuals and their families collaboratively build an understanding of these challenges and together find ways to address them. I am particularly passionate about innovative approaches to psychotherapy. Currently, I am integrating a virtual reality platform into my practice, which provides a unique approach to helping patients visualize and see how their challenges manifest, facilitating a deeper understanding of how to approach their unique challenges.

In addition to being a clinician, I am a researcher in human spaceflight psychology and performance psychology in extreme environments. I use my experience working with these high pressure stressful environments to informs my approach to therapy, emphasizing strategies to enhance individual performance and resilience as well as proficiency with the skills of working in groups.
