FEES+

If you have a Mental Health Care Plan referral to see me from your GP, Medicare will subsidise up to 10 sessions per calendar year with an amount starting from $96.65.

You will receive the lower rebate until you reach your Medicare Safety Net. For more information on the Safety Net click here.

Reduced fees:

In some circumstances I offer a reduced fee to clients who are experiencing ongoing financial difficulties. Please initially discuss this with our intake team before you make an appointment, and you will be advised if this is possible. Unless an arrangement is made with me for a reduced fee, you are responsible for paying the standard consultation fee on the day of the appointment.

Diagnostic Assessments and Report:

Fees vary, if you require an assessment of this nature, I ask you to first make an initial 50 minute appointment to see me and we will discuss your requirements in this consultation.

Non Attended Session Fees:

I require 2 full working days (Monday-Friday only) notice should you need to cancel or re-schedule your appointment. You must do this by telephone.

– If you give us 2 or more business days’ notice: no fee

– Less than 2 business days: full consultation fee

Out of courtesy to our professional relationship, I request that you provide at least 7 days notice to cancel an appointment as I have limited appointments available.

Hello, my name is Megan McCabe

I specialise in working with adult clients who aim to enhance their well-being, deepen their self-understanding, and address symptoms of mental illness. I prioritise viewing each client holistically and individually to develop tailored solutions. My approach is client-centred, characterised by warmth, empathy, authenticity, and a non-judgmental attitude.

Together, we will collaboratively work on your therapeutic goals and connect with what is meaningful in your life. We can explore specific strategies to address particular issues or discover new methods of coping and relating.

I have extensive experience working with trauma across various settings, including family violence, victims of crime, and crisis intervention. Additionally, I have worked in workplace environments, educational institutions, and community mental health. In my therapeutic practice, I draw from a diverse range of evidence-based modalities.

I am deeply interested in and currently undergoing specialised training in Radix therapy, a somatic psychotherapeutic approach. This body-oriented therapy focuses on how our bodies store and process life experiences, emotions, and behavioural patterns. By working with both the mind and body, Radix therapy aims to uncover, heal, and liberate our physical selves, thereby enhancing our vitality and sense of aliveness.

I am also an AHPRA registered clinical supervisor.
