Hello, my name is Rishani Panawennage

I work with clients who need support with ongoing mental health concerns or those experiencing social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties stemming from life events, stress, or life transitions.

I am neuroaffirmative and gender diversity affirmative, in my practice.

My areas of interest include ADHD, anxiety disorders, depression, OCD, ASD, substance use disorders, and parenting. I work with neurodivergent clients who require ongoing support in managing challenges associated with ADHD, ASD, or comorbid conditions.  I work with clients across the adult age spectrum including young adults who are experiencing stress relating to academic, employment, or relationship problems, or those experiencing depression, anxiety, or substance use issues. I also work with parents who are seeking to support their children through developmental or social difficulties, or those who want to improve communication and relationships within the family.

My therapeutic style is collaborative, and evidence based. I use a combination of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness-based strategies, depending on the needs and requirements of the client.
