If you have a Mental Health Care Plan referral to see me from your GP, Medicare will subsidise up to 10 sessions per calendar year with an amount starting from $96.65.

You will receive the lower rebate until you reach your Medicare Safety Net. For more information on the Safety Net click here.

Reduced fees:

In some circumstances I may offer a reduced fee to clients who are experiencing ongoing financial difficulties. Please initially discuss this with our intake team before you make an appointment, and you will be advised if this is possible. Unless an arrangement is made with me for a reduced fee, you are responsible for paying the standard consultation fee on the day of the appointment.

Diagnostic Assessments and Report:

Fees vary, if you require an assessment of this nature, I ask you to first make an initial 50 minute appointment to see me and we will discuss your requirements in this consultation.

Non Attended Session Fees:

I require 2 full working days (Monday-Friday only) notice should you need to cancel or re-schedule your appointment. You must do this by telephone.

– If you give us 2 or more business days’ notice: no fee

– Less than 2 business days: full consultation fee

Out of courtesy to our professional relationship, I request that you provide at least 7 days notice to cancel an appointment as I have limited appointments available.

Hello, my name is Tom Joffe

I work with adult clients who are seeking to improve their wellbeing, increase self-understanding, and address symptoms of mental illness. My focus is on creating a supportive and non-judgmental environment where you feel safe to explore your experiences, thoughts, and emotions, enabling us to find solutions that work for you.

I take a collaborative approach, viewing myself as the expert in psychology while you are the expert in your own life, where my role is to combine our expertise. This partnership allows us to tailor our sessions to your unique needs and goals.

I utilise an eclectic treatment approach, drawing from evidence-based modalities like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness techniques. This way, we can match the best strategies to address your specific concerns effectively.

I work with a variety of problems including:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
