Our video platform is secure and super easy to use
VCPS has been conducting video consultations for many years with those in rural areas or when visiting our practice is not suitable. It is normal to feel uncertain about attending your consultation via video conferencing. Research shows that online counselling is just as effective as face-to-face counselling and client outcomes are identical to those for in-person therapy.
Our video call solution ensures your confidential discussion with your therapist is encrypted, secure and is privacy compliant with Australian laws. We’ve made it as easy as possible for you to attend, a few minutes before your consultation click on the ”Start Video Call’ button on our website. All internet-enabled devices, such as a smartphone or computer is suitable as long as it has a camera and microphone. To learn more about starting a video consultation watch this short video here.
Telephone consultations
If you have arranged with your practitioner for a telephone consultation, your practitioner will call your nominated phone number at the time of your appointment. Please be ready to commence the consultation at the arranged time.
Payment Options
As our reception area may be temporarily closed, for the safety of our team, in-person payment via an EFT terminal is no longer available. To make a payment, you must register your payment details with our Commonwealth Bank payment portal before attending your next appointment. You will receive instructions on how to register with your appointment confirmation if you do not, give us a call and we will provide you with instructions.
Telehealth Rebates
Medicare, as well as a range of insurers, has confirmed that rebates for video and phone consultations can now be processed. If you are on a Mental Health Plan or using private health insurance, or TAC or Worksafe or others to assist with your fees, that arrangement can continue. Please contact our reception or your specific fund to confirm the details.
Fully-funded employee assistance consultations (EAP) are immediately available for employees of companies with a VCPS EAP program. Check if your company has an EAP program with us. If they don’t, you can refer them to our Intake team at intake@vcps.com.au.
We thank you for your understanding and will continue to keep you updated.
Kind regards,
VCPS Team
