Hello, I’m David Mussoff,

I’m a psychologist who works with adults facing a range of emotional and psychological challenges—whether it’s anxiety, low mood, trauma, stress, or difficulties in relationships. Many of the clients I see are navigating long-standing patterns that feel hard to shift, and are ready to explore what’s beneath the surface to create lasting change.

I bring a calm, collaborative, and down-to-earth style to therapy. My approach is grounded in evidence-based frameworks including Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). These approaches help us understand how your past may be influencing your present—and how to shift unhelpful cycles in thinking, feeling, and behaviour.

I work with adults of all genders and backgrounds, and many clients value the collaborative, affirming, and non-judgemental space I offer. I have a particular interest in supporting men who may be facing emotional challenges, identity questions, or relationship stress—especially those who are new to therapy or unsure where to begin. I also see many women and gender-diverse individuals who value my collaborative, affirming approach and the supportive, non-judgemental space I offer. My previous career in corporate leadership gives me a grounded understanding of the real-world pressures that affect wellbeing, which informs my work with a diverse range of clients.

I also support neurodivergent clients—especially those with ADHD or autism—who are seeking better self-understanding and emotional resilience.

Areas I commonly work with:

– Anxiety, worry, and overthinking

– Depression, low mood, and lack of motivation

– Trauma, PTSD, and complex life experiences

– Low self-worth and chronic self-doubt

– ADHD and autism (including late diagnosis)

– Relationship and interpersonal difficulties

– Stress, burnout, and role strain

If you’re looking for a space that is warm, thoughtful, and geared toward deep and sustainable change, I look forward to working with you.

I provide face-to-face sessions in East Melbourne and Melbourne CBD, and tele-health (video/phone) sessions to anyone across Australia.
